The fashion rule of white says that you can only wear white (pants, shorts, skirts, dresses) between Memorial Day and Labor Day.  Well, my spring break is before Memorial Day, and I’ve been debating whether or not to pack my white bottoms on my trip to Punta Cana, Dominican Republic.  I abide by this rule, but is vacationing in a tropical place an exception?

I say yes.  If there are palm trees, open-air restaurants, and sunscreen is necessary even when it’s cloudy, I say wearing white is acceptable.  Wearing colors with white bottoms brightens up the whole outfit.  Since color-blocking is a popular style now, I’m not afraid to wear my white shorts with a bright top, accessorized with bright jewelry, a bright handbag, and bright wedges.

Check out the Molly top:

This would look cute with jeans, but the white pants complete the outfit and make the shirt really pop.

I can’t wait to break out my white bottoms!  Who else is breaking this fashion rule for spring break?
