Color Blocking Your Way Into Spring
Every year people anxiously await the end of winter and the beginning of spring, but more importantly the new trends that will surface. As we move our way into 2012, Color Blocking is making a strong appearance among many other styles. This trend has become so popular that almost every designer clothing line has incorporated this idea into their spring collection! However, this trend isn’t necessarily seen in one form.
Shoes, bags, jewelry, and of course different clothing items all offer color blocking in unique shades and combinations. Some stylist may pair a neutral colored skirt with a bright top; others may choose to wear color-blocked heels with a bright colored pant. Look into your closet and see what old items you have that you haven’t worn in a while. These could definitely be incorporated into your new style and you won’t even know it! Try on a lot of options and be creative. You never know how something will look until you see for yourself.
I would recommend starting with two colors, and then moving onto a third if you feel it’s necessary to spice up your outfit. Incorporate jewelry and fun accessories to add a flirty and fun touch and you will look ready for spring in no time! A helpful hint would be to avoid any prints because this can make your outfit appear busy and can also take away from the focus on the various colors. This hot new trend doesn’t need to be expensive or time consuming with your already busy schedule.
As always be sure to check out the Emma Graham options when exploring this new spring 2012 trend. The Kristen skirt, Sammi skirt, and Berkeley skirt can all be easily put together with vibrant colored tops to complete the glamorous look. All your friends will be jealous of your stylish new take on spring and will be begging you for fashion advice!
