The upcoming holiday season, and even Thanksgiving break, are filled with formals, parties, family dinners, and special occasions that are calling for sparkles and glitter. Many of these events require cute and fun outfits, but buying dress after dress can not only be expensive, but tiring as well. Instead of buying many different outfits, why not recycle the basics? Buy Emma Graham’s new “Caitlin” dress and change its style with accessories- people won’t even realize you’re wearing the same thing. This season, statement necklaces are popular and can be the perfect addition to any outfit. Here are four glitzy necklaces sure to make spirits bright!

This gold and silver rhinestone necklace by Sabine is both cheap and chic. It is sure to draw attention with its thick rhinestone bib directly in the center. The gold chains create a nice contrast with the rhinestones and also give the necklace a fun, sparkly feeling. This necklace would look great with the black dress but could also give an outfit with jeans a more dressy feel. Buy thinecklace, or browse for other great options, on www.piperlime.com. Plus, this necklace is only $36!

This J.Crew necklace is a bit more expensive but definitely worth the money. The crystal circles make a collar that shines and catches attention in the right way. Also, the combination of the gold chain and the silver and white bib gives the necklace a delicate and wintery feel. The necklace can also be worn at a shorter or longer length. J.Crew in general has an amazing selection of statement necklaces and can be found in stores or online at www.jcrew.com. This one is $135, though prices vary both higher and lower.

This simple and classic necklace is versatile and could be worn for any occasion. This “double-twined necklace” from Anthropologie is only $42 and can work with the “Cailtin” dress to transition it from day to night outfit. The gold gives the necklace the perfect amount of shine but the connecting circles are simple and not over the top. The necklace also has a toggle clasp in the back which will securely hold the necklace together. Try this necklace on at Anthropologie or order it online at www.anthropologie.com.
This House of Harlow necklace is unique and like no other necklace you’ll ever see. The gold necklace has geometric shapes outlined in metal, but are inlaid with soft leather. This texture gives the necklace a rich feel and creates a contrast from the gold chain. The leather comes in either black or khaki (shown here), and both colors give the necklace a distinctive look. For $75, this necklace is worth the money and guarantees compliments for the entire night. Find this necklace and more at www.nordstrom.com in their costume jewelry section.

Elon University: Morgan
Hello Everyone! This past week I had Emma Graham designs with me at Elon all week long, which was a little bit of a different approach than most trunk shows. I made this week a very relaxed, stop-by-when-you want-to kind of trunk show. My sorority’s Semi Formal is this Friday, November 9th! WOOOHOOOO!!! So naturally everyone was freaking out about getting the perfect dress and date. I had the dresses in my apartment and girls came by whenever they wanted to. It was mainly my sisters who came to support me and to look, but it was amazing because of the personal level of the location and style of the trunk show. It was overall pretty successful and two girls will be decked out in Emma Graham designs for Semi! I will update you with pictures later, but the girls are both very excited about their purchases.
On a different note, the weather here in North Carolina is finally starting to be normal for the time! Everyone is breaking out their boots, scarves, vests, and sweaters just in time for the fall weather. Although I am from Atlanta and am SO not used to the cold, I love fall fashion trends and styles. Infinity scarves, leather boots, puffy vests, bright colored sweaters as well as earth tones are my absolute favorite. I actually just bought my first vest at J Crew. I felt like it was necessary for my fall wardrobe and they give 15% off for students! I also absolutely love the trend of patterned/printed pants. I really need to put that on my to do list. Finally, I wanted to suggest an awesome blog to you all. My sorority sister, Alison Ryncarz, is an extremely trendy and passionate fashion lover and blogger. She has a blog called The Flare and it is AMAZING. The URL is http://theflareblog.blogspot.com/ and it is perfect for following fall fashion trends. Check it out!

Thursday Night Out? $5 Cover? Free T-Shirts? Drink Specials?…Who wouldn’t want to go there?
This is exactly what Kilroy’s on Kirkwood (KOK), a popular bar at IU thinks. Kilroy’s was recently ranked #36 in the top 100 bars in the US. Every Thursday night a line of students wraps around the block (the bar is located on a corner of a busy street of businesses) to get the T-Shirt of the week and catch up with their friends after a long week of school. On a typical Thursday, Kilroy’s will Tweet a hint on the t-shirt and then a few hours before handing them out (at around 8:30pm) they will post a picture from them. It has become a game for students to see how many shirts they can collect over the semester. You always see everyone at class on Monday wearing their shirt from the weekend. Kilroy’s started an even crazier marketing tactic by offering to pay for a student’s KOK tattoo and giving them free cover for life! I think I would rather just pay the $2-5 cover each time I want to go! Check out some of the most recent shirts from the semester below!

Confession…I love to check Twitter and Facebook when I am sitting in class…admit it we all do it. But what catches my eye the most when I am casually scrolling through the life updates and articles my friends’ postings are pictures…I don’t have to read anything and usually there are more pictures where the first one that caught my attention came from. My favorite social media these days is Instagram. I love it because I don’t need to know where you are every hour of the day, which Twitter can sometimes come to. Instagram has created this platform where the only real option you have to express yourself is through words (a caption is available, but that’s a small feature). For me pictures are way more interesting to look at than words…I get to see what styles people are wearing, cool events they may have attended, how beautiful campus can be, and fun random things as well. Follow me on Instagram –sroesner and share your cool photos with me! Here are a few of my favorite pictures from Instagram:

Fall Color Trends at Trinity College
Because Trinity College is located in New England, Fall fashion is filled with riding boots,
plaid flannels, vests, light jackets, and lots of cozy sweaters and scarves. These outfits transition
from their summer alternates mostly through their color schemes. Out with white pants, pastel
tank tops and neon shorts. With Fall weather comes Fall colors, and these are sure to make you
excited for the cool weather.
Different shades of brown are always a classic Fall choice, but this year more than ever is brown
popping up in every outfit. Whether you wear tan colored jeans, a beige sweater, or chocolate
brown jacket, shades of brown are dominating the Trinity campus.
Another color that I’ve seen around is olive green. Most apparent in vests and jackets, olive
green is a great color for all girls. Particularly for blondes, olive green offers an alternative
to brown or black but still provides a neutral, understated tone that can be paired with almost
anything. Green is also a great color for rainboots or ballet flats, once again as a substitute for a
neutral brown or black. Olive green outerwear looks best paired with cream or beige tops, jeans,
and brown boots. Add any color scarf and you’re all set for the perfect look for class!
Continuing in this theme are shades of black and white. Both colors, as well as grey and
charcoal, are appearing all over campus. Black boots are especially popular, as are black jackets,
black sweaters, and black leggings or pants. Any shade of grey is great for a sweater because
it can be paired with a more colorful or patterned scarf as well. These neutral colors allow
accessories to be bold and bright, in colors such as red, purple, orange, blue, or any sort of plaid
pattern. But, most importantly, lets not forget black tights in the Fall are the most versatile item
of them all!
Lastly, purple is a color that is unnaturally popular this Fall season. Whether it be a jewel-
toned purple or a deep plum, purple comes in a variety of styles and shades. Purple jeans are
very popular, and can be found in stores all over the country. Purple sweaters, silk tops, or
other blouses are also perfect for a Fall event. Purple flats are adorable, as is any sort of purple
jewelry. I’ve even seen a few girls rocking dark plum tights, and I have to admit they look
fabulous. If you’re looking to take a risk this Fall, but don’t want to look too bold, then buying
purple jeans or tights are the perfect options for you. And, if you need more advice, come to
Trinity’s campus yourself and take a look!

MIZ-SEC
Hello from the University of Missouri!
Us girls at Mizzou are extremely excited to be welcomed to both the Emma Graham family and Southeastern Conference! What could be better than a new era of class, dresses, and cowboy boots at football games?! As a senior, I could not be more enthused to have the opportunity to host schools from this new conference and start showing the EG brand to women all over campus! We love how much girls dress up for gamedays and these dresses are perfect as formal attire.
Here are some of the trends around Mizzou that I’ve seen so far this football season:
· Blondes wear black dresses. Brunettes wear yellow or gold!
· One color dresses spiced up with bold jewelry like black and gold necklaces and earrings!
· LOTS of cowboy boots. My favorite are University of Missouri embossed boots
· New football jerseys that look incredibly dashing on the players
· Frocket tees curtiousy of The Frat Collection! Shirts with different option color and patterned frockets. Very cute!

Mizzou has successfully transferred into the SEC and welcomed top nationally known football teams such as Alabama and Georgia to our home. I believe that these teams and fans have enjoyed their stays by both us ladies showing our country roots and Midwestern charm, and their teams enjoying victories against the Tigers. But the losses that have occurred have not crushed our spirits! As Homecoming approaches, us students and fans are excited at the chance to host Kentucky and show them how the originators of Homecoming celebrate a weekend of festivities. Stay tuned for some insights into some traditions like House Decorations, Talent, and Parade that get very competitive between sorority and fraternity pairings for Homecoming!
In other news, the other week my accomplice, Ali Ault, and myself hosted our first Emma Graham trunk show at our Student Center so girls from all over campus could stop by in between classes to view the brand and purchase their favorite looks! It was a success to see so many faces pass through and check out all the outfits. These dresses, skirts, and shorts are perfect for formals and heading out on the town for Mizzou girls.

We look forward to having more trunk shows this semester and cant wait to show many more amazing EG designs!
To tuck or not to tuck? Lots of options with the Holiday Line…the countdown is on! #SaraSkirt
